52% of Tech Women Who Looked For Jobs At Fairygodboss Virtual Fair Were Diverse

52% of Tech Women Who Looked For Jobs At Fairygodboss Virtual Fair Were Diverse Everyone knows that technology is a historically male-dominated field. However, some companies are challenging the status quo and leading an industry charge to create more diverse workplaces. The simplest way to get more women to join your companys ranks? Recruiting top female talent through a Fairygodboss Virtual Career Fair.In March, Fairygodboss hosted its second virtual fair of the year, exclusively for women in technical roles. Hundreds of qualified female job seekers registered for the event, where they had the opportunity to (virtually) connect with recruiters at 25 top companies, including IBM, Asana, Home Depot, and Wells Fargo at the day-long fair.Participants were vetted in advance of the fair to ensure they met with the events tech-specific theme, and it truly was a qualified bunch that joined. More than half of the women attending had more than four years of experience in technology, and a fu rther 25 percent had at least 11 years of experience. On top of experience in the field, the participants also proved to be highly educated. A full 77 percent of the women who participated had a Bachelors degree or higher and an incredible 41 percent had a masters degree or PhD to boot.Perhaps most importantly for diversifying the notoriously homogenous technology field, the women made up an incredibly diverse talent pool. A full 55 percent of the women identified as women of color. And, thanks to the fairs virtual element, participants also represented every region of the United States, as well.Interested in sending recruiters from your company to Fairygodboss next virtual career fair for women?
